Everything is covered in ink. Ink, and a story. Throughout my life I’ve been fascinated by the stories created by artists. Sure, I was glued to the television as kid, and I’ve read too many comics. But, these artists’ ability to convey story and character has driven me to do the same. Whether it’s expressing realism, cartoons via ink, or written work, I aim to capture story and imagination with every stroke. I question who we are and what we can be by embracing the brilliance of humanity. To give visuals and tell stories that inspire and compel is exactly what I hope to achieve through creating comics.
I’ve been creating comics and other visual stories since 2011 and launched my first print comic series, Champions, in 2016. Along side comics, I’ve work in numerous education settings thanks to being a teaching artist with both the South Dakota and Nebraska arts councils.
